While you wait: open it by hand
- Find the manual release key. It usually came with the motor and is often kept with the spare remotes.
- Unlock the release on the motor and turn or lift it to disengage the motor.
- Slide or swing the gate slowly by hand. Keep hands and feet clear of the track, the wheels and the gap next to the wall.
- Lock the release again afterwards. Some motors only re-engage once the gate is moved a little.
